We are dedicated to selling our jewelry at affordable prices-restocking merchandise is costly and time consuming. Therefore we ask that you have all the information you need about a particular item before ordering it. If you have questions, we implore you to contact us before purchasing. Before any of our merchandise is sold we check prongs, clasps and mountings for their condition. Nothing is sent out or sold unless it meets our rigorous inspection. All of our watches have been cleaned and timed and are in working condition. You must understand they do not have quartz movements and will not keep time like a quartz movement. One can expect a 5 to 10 minute variance in a day.
We will happily issue a store credit for any item that you are not fully delighted with. Please call us within 24 hours of receiving the jewelry and let us know that you would like to return the item. We then provide you with an additional 24 hours to return it to us, fully insured, in perfect condition (our jeweler will check all returning items for telltale signs of it being mishandled or worn). 48 hours will be given if your item arrives on a Saturday. After the item has been received and checked for condition, a credit will be issued that may be used at any time.
Please be aware that any jewelry purchased from us is no longer guaranteed or eligible for exchange if it has been worked on (sized, repaired, altered, stone setting, etc.) by a jeweler that is not employed by us.
Unless otherwise stated, all gemstones are graded and evaluated in their mountings to the maximum extent that the mounting permits examination. Approximate weights are formulated by taking measurements and applying conventional formulas; as such they are estimates only. Exact determination of color, clarity and proportions may be prevented by certain types of mountings.
All diamonds are evaluated using the Gemological Institute of America's (GIA) grading scale. Unless otherwise stated, all stones and pearls are assumed to be subject to a reasonably and possibly undetected color or clarity enhancement.
Antiquity, authenticity, vintages or circa dating are determined based on materials used, method of manufacture, design, hallmarks or signatures present and corroboration with our large reference library. Dating and period assignments are not an exact science because periods overlap and influences can be borrowed from one another.
Sizing and Alterations
If your item needs to be sized, engraved etc., please add an additional 5 working days to shipping estimates. Antique jewelry requires skilled jewelers that are accustomed to working on fine antique jewelry, therefore we prefer that all sizing and alterations be preformed by our jewelers.
Each ring purchased from us includes one complimentary sizing. Please understand some rings cannot be sized, such as eternity bands, enameled rings or rings that would have to be sized so much that the integrity of the mounting would be compromised. It is for that reason we ask prior to purchase, that you ask if the ring can be sized to your specifications.
If your purchase is $1,000 or more you will receive a complementary appraisal for insurance purposes. We highly recommend that you insure your jewelry on your home owners' policy-then you can wear and enjoy your jewelry with the knowledge that your "investments" are protected.
If your purchase is less than $1,000 it will not be accompanied by an appraisal. If you wish to procure an appraisal for any item you are purchasing from us for less than $1,000 the fee is $50.
